  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Select the “File Manager” sub-option under the “files” option.
  3. Select the file whose permission needs to be changed.
  4. Click on the “Permissions” option.
  5. A window will open up. Here you can change the permissions settings by selecting or deselecting the small box.
  6. As soon as you tick on the check box it will become blue.
  7. The permission value changes after changing the settings.
  8. Click on the “Change Permissions” option.
  9. The changes will be reflected.
