After Creating My Reseller Hosting Account – How Can I Set Up My Hosting Accounts?

April 21, 2011 / Reseller Hosting

Once your cPanel reseller hosting account is active, your main account will include its own Control Panel cPanel/WHM. And all the accounts you create on your reseller account will have individual control panels. The difference between your ‘Master account’ and the reseller accounts will be that your account will have Reseller Privileges.

That would mean that you get a WHM (web host manager) interface that lets you create and manage your client’s accounts. Set limits for RAM and bandwidth, suspend accounts, manage payments, and more. It is an easy interface that lets you efficiently manage all the aspects of your reseller account from a centralized location.

Set-up Web Hosting Packages :

When you create web hosting packages for your company. You have to decide what features you want to offer in each of the packages. Some important things that should be decided first are:
1. How much storage space and bandwidth is allotted to every account?
2. How many email accounts allot to every account.
3. How many FTP accounts, Parked domains, Subdomains, Addon domains, and MySQL DBs allot to every account?
4. How much are you going to give your web hosting plans?
When you would be clear about the above points. Then log in to your admin area and setup packages.

It is important to create web hosting packages because it simplifies the process of creating web hosting accounts. Once you assign fixed resources to each package, all you need to do is choose the package when you create a web hosting account.
