You have to follow the following steps to start, stop, and reboot your VPS in the power panel
- First you have to log in to your Virtuzzo power panel(VZPP).
- You can see the following page.
- As you can see at the top our VPS is currently running.
- Click on the “start/ stop VPS” option.
- You can start, stop, and reboot (restart) your Virtual server with the following page.
- There are many states the VPS could be in, and many corresponding possible actions you could take from this page.
State- possible action
Running – VPS can only restarted or stopped.
Down – VPS can only start.
Repairing – no action is performed until the state is completed.
Mounting – no action performed until the state is completed.
Starting – no action performed until the state is completed.
Stopping – no action performed until the state is completed. - Since your VPS is already running. The start option is not currently available.
- Let’s go ahead and restart the VPS with the “Restart VPS ” option.
- The VPS scheduled for restarting(reboot). And will restore it shortly.
- If you want to stop your VPS. Keep in mind that there is a 2-minute timeout for the VPS shutdown scripts to executed.
- If your VPS does not stop in 2 minutes, then the system forcibly kills all processes in the VPS and the VPS will stop in any case. Even if it is seriously damaged.
- Another option available to us is the “Fast Stop VPS” option located here.
- To avoid waiting for 2 minutes if you are operating a VPS that is known to corrupt, you can utilize the “Fast Stop VPS” option.
- Go to the top and click on the “Top” option to return to the main screen.
