To verify domain ownership in cPanel is an essential security measure. It confirms that the domain belongs to you and ensures it isn\u2019t linked to multiple websites simultaneously.<\/p>\n

If you registered your domain under one bodHOST account but want to use it with a website hosted on another bodHOST account, verify ownership by adding a TXT record to the domain\u2019s DNS zone through cPanel.<\/p>\n

Steps to Verify Domain Ownership<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Follow these easy steps to confirm domain ownership and ensure secure access to your website.<\/p>\n

Locate Your Verification Record<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Log in to your cPanel account.\"cPanel<\/li>\n
  2. In the Domains section, click on Domains.\"Verify<\/li>\n
  3. Do one of the following:\n
      \n
    1. For domains that already exists in cPanel >> Locate it in the list and proceed.<\/li>\n
    2. If your domain is not added yet >> Click Create a New Domain in the top-right corner, enter your domain name, and add it.\"Creating<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    3. Once your domain is added, check if it is registered with another bodhost account:\n
        \n
      1. If yes >> A notification will appear asking you to verify the domain.<\/li>\n
      2. If no >> You can still proceed with verification if needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      3. When the verification screen appears, you will immediately see the TXT Record details.<\/li>\n
      4. Click the Copy button next to the TXT Value to save it, you\u2019ll need this for the next step.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Add the TXT Record in cPanel<\/strong><\/h3>\n
          \n
        1. Log in to the cPanel account that manages your domain\u2019s DNS.<\/li>\n
        2. Scroll down to the Domains section and choose Zone Editor.\"Verify<\/li>\n
        3. Find your domain in the list and click Manage.\"Domain<\/li>\n
        4. Select Add Record.\"Add<\/li>\n
        5. Change the record Type to TXT.<\/li>\n
        6. Fill in the following details:

          1. DNS updates can take up to 24 hours.<\/li>\n
          2. After the changes are active, return to the platform or service that requested the verification.<\/li>\n
          3. Use the Verify or Check button (as available) to confirm ownership.<\/li>\n
          4. As soon as the system detects the TXT record, your domain will be successfully verified.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
