Nice question Van and thanks Tristian for the spot-on response. Along with a new IISAdministration PowerShell module, IIS 10 has several interesting features, such as:
• Supports HTTP/2
• Wildcard Host Header
• Environment Variables for Applications Pools
• HTTP status code 308 supp0rt
• Removal of server header
• Failed Request Tracing
• And New cipher suites
Stay tuned… Soon we’re coming with an article post that will address each feature of IIS 10 with more details.

Hello Van,
I have heard the IIS team added a second module with direct access to the underlaying 'Microsoft.Web.Administration.ServerManager' object. The new alternative PowerShell module added is called IISAdministration PowerShell Cmdlets.
Also thanks to Jeremyc for confirming that it is supported on Windows Server 2012 R2 as I wan't really sure about the information I had.

Though, there is no official statement available about IIS 10 and Windows Server 2012, but as both are the Microsoft latest products so we can safely assume it’s supported on Windows Server 2012.
