Our network utilizes Border Gateway Protocol Version 4 (BGP4) over dark fiber and long haul wavelengths. We always update the router's software after we have stress tested the latest software on a non-critical router, to make sure it is very stable. The switch that your equipment will ultimately be connected to is connected back to a core router via fiber. All equipments & parts used are branded. So you never have to worry about hardware failure.
Our Network Operations Center has an international internet backbone is considered to be one of the best connections world-wide. Some of the names include Level(3), Abovenet, Savvis, PCCW, Telia and Cogent. Connections ranging from OC192, OC48, and 10GigE (10,000Mbps) form rings connecting Hurricane core routers.
Data Centers Tiers
Uptime Institute which is a data center authority breaks down the data centers into a four tier system that provides an easy and quick way to acknowledge various data center site infrastructure design topologies. It is a standard methodology used to define uptime of data centers.
A tier I data center comprises of a single path for power and cooling delivery with non- redundant capacity components like single uplink and servers. A Tier I data center is vulnerable to interruptions due to any instant failure of site infrastructure. Tier I data centers provide 99.671% availability.
A tier II data center comprises of a single path for power and cooling distribution, but has redundant components. Tier II data center thus increases availability to 99.741%.
A tier III data center is composed of multiple paths of power and cooling delivery models for IT infrastructure, though generally one distribution path is active. Tier III data center also has redundant components and further increases availability to 99.982%.
At the top of the stack is the Tier IV data center which is the most robust and is rarely prone to failures. Tier IV data center is composed of multiple power and cooling distribution paths and has redundant components. All components are completely fault tolerant. Tier IV data center provides 99.995% availability.
