The process is very simple. When you order the product, your primary dedicated server is created, just like any other web server. However, this is where the similarities end. We also deploy a second dedicated web server, on a separate part of our network. Those of you who are familiar with mirroring will be able to understand what happens next. However, for the non technical people, here is a brief description.
Data is continuously transferred between your primary dedicated server hosting package, and the secondary web server. Data needs to be transferred continuously to ensure your secondary fail-over server has the latest files and configurations as your primary web server. The secondary fail-over Server is not actively used, and is basically an exact copy of your primary web server. In case of failure of the primary web server, the IPs are automatically are assigned to the secondary server.
This allows your web servers to carry on serving your client's needs, without exposing them to any downtime. As soon as your dedicated server starts working from the secondary server, we will start to diagnose the fault with the primary server, in order to bring it back online. This all happens without any action on your part.
