Here are few tips to recover from syatem failure with the help of Automated Sytem Recovery(ASR):

a) Make sure to have this in hand before starting the recovery procedure
- The ASR floppy disk which you created previously
- The original installation CD of operating system
- In case of mass storage controller make sure to obtain the driver file which manufacturer has supplied separately.

b) Insert the original installation CD of operating system in your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.

c) Restart your computer. Press the appropriate key if you are if you are prompted to press a key to start the computer from CD.

d) Press the F6 key to use the driver as part of Setup only when you have
a separate driver file.

e) When you are at the start of text-only mode section of setup, press the F2 key. Also insert the ASR floppy disk that you previously created.

f) Try to follow the on-screen instructions

g) If you have a separate driver file , press F6 once agin after the system restarts.
