Default Installing vista on windows xp.
I also have a quetion about windowvista and windows xp.
Is the formatting of windowsxp necessary to download windowvista?

No. To download or Install vista, having windows XP is not a problem. You can upgrade your existing windows XP to vista or install vista as a second operating system so that you can have both the OS's.
