Default Windows 2003 vs Windows 2008?

hi
Which is better Windows 2003 or Windows 2008? I am planning to buy VPS hosting.
Which hosting solution provider should I select?

Hi!
Check out the online reviews of a few of the top companies- go for the hosting company with positive reviews about their reliability of services and customer support. Contact the online sales or technical team of the company you chose to help you get the best solution for your hosting requirements. As for Windows, Windows 2008 is comparatively cheaper than 2003. :drunk:

Yes, it is still a VPS as that's the machine you are running. You will just want to expose to the user that they do not have root access. This also means that you will be responsible for all server updates, script installations etc etc.

Some people who require a VPS also want ROOT access, however there is still a strong market for people that do not want to handle their own machine and pay someone else to do it. A VPS is still a VPS even if you don't give root access. Just like a Dedicated is still a Dedicated.

I would recommend you Windows 2008, as it offers more feature than the previous version, also it has revised security, and the best firewall compared to earlier windows version.
Also have a compact and Interactive GUI

Win2k8 is definitely best option for server OS but only good thing I see about 2k3 is the resource consumption. 2K3 is far better than 2k8 when you are more concern about the system resources.
