I am quite confused about windows hosting. I just read a section yesterday about hosting but more confused about windows web hosting. Plz help me

Windows web hosting refers to hosting service which stores the website on windows setup. Windows hosting is most important if you use Microsft specific technologies to develop websites.

Programming languages strongly supports some operating systems. If you thinking to use ASP to power your website then it has to be windows hosting. Similarly if website is designed in PHP or Perl type languages linux hosting is the one which supports that.
