Windows server 2003 wanted

I want to rent a Japanese server，then I find one through internet,
but their reply is a little strange:
“We can offer a Opteron 1210 wit windows 2003
Server Setup fee xx JPY
Server Monthly fee xx JPY
OS Windows 2003 setup xx JPY
OS Windows 2003 monthly xx JPY”
Why the" Windows 2003 setup" fee charged here, for we have never met problem before.

And they charge higher than we expected. I want to change another one.

Well, we offer only US and UK based servers.

I think you can search on Google for the best Japanese Web Hosting Company and get the Japanese Server for you.

Most of the Windows based applications require licensing fees and hence the Web hosting providers charge for Windows operating system. However, Installing it shouldn't require any fees and you should confirm with them about this. Also, if you are located in Japan, it is not necessary that you should have a server in Japan. ths for your information,
we are located in China, but we need to rent the Japanese, which enables our customers to view our website at fast speed.
it is true that we have never met such case as the installing fees,
hope their reply are not in Japanese again, I do not understand any Japanese...

I havnt seen any webhost charging OS installation fees apart from server hardware cost and OS cost ( Windows OS ), try to search some other webhost who offers you fully managed hosting services with round the clock free technical support similar to Bodhost

Please let us know if you did contact the hosting provider who was charging for Operating system installation and kindly let us know if you get a reason from them as to why they charge for Operating system installation.

finally, we solved the problem with another Janpanese company, which offer lower price but good service, and no setup fee as the former one.
next time, I will inform you if we need to rent U.K.or U.S. based server .
