Default VPS shows unusual Spikes

I am having 5 website's hosted on VPS, all have a decent traffic of 1k - 2k per day, I usualy monitor the CPU and memory usage, however since 2 days VPS memory usage graph shows me large spikes. Some times website goes down and have to reboot the VPS.

After reboot, for some time it goes on normal memory consumption but then after 5/6 hours it agains start showing high memory consumption. I would like to know if there's any script that can be created which would send me email when unusual memory spike occur.
