SMTP on VPS Hosting

Hi,
What is the SMTP server used in the vps hosting & will be enabled for the all the accounts in the server?

Every domain will have its own smtp address. If your friend has got a domain name domainname.com then his SMTP address is domainname.com or mail.domainname.com

You keep in mind that you configure his DNS properly or else the SMTP wouldn't work with the domain name. You can utilize IP of your VPS Hosting for pop3 but for smtp you will require a configured domain name residing on your VPS Hosting.

Thanks, will try mail.domainnaame.com as outgoing smtp server. Will authentication simply be his account name and password?

Yes, correct. They have to put their username and password for authentication.
