What is Virtuoso ?

Is it Virtuozzo or Virtuoso. If it is virtuozzo then it is same as VPS hosting which is used to create multiple, isolated virtual environments on a single physical server.

Well, i guess he must have pronounced it wrong, what he meant is Virtuozzo which is a virutalization Operating system which creates as well as manage Virtual Private Servers on a single server.

To conclude, virtuozzo is a complete virtuoso in regards to managing Virtual private servers.

It's like similarities between Fedora and RedHat. Open VZ being the testbed for new technologies for more advanced users, and Virtuozzo being the commercial, stable product including full support and additional tools.

OpenVZ is basically a testing version of Virtuozzo Power Panel. It does not have as many features as Virtuozzo as it lacks the power panel and due to this it does not have an advanced resource management such as virtuozzo. It does not have as many features as Virtuozzo and this is the reason that you won't be able to backup, restore, repair, reinstall, reboot. There are many more features that you will get with Virtuozzo Power Panel but you won't get them with OpenVZ.
