Yeah I much rather get a VPS depending on what I am doing.

There is nothing a VPS can't do in my opinion :D

In a VPS your hosting provider is responsible for everything. You don't have to worry about anything, and it is also cheaper in price as compare to dedicated.

Perhaps you can frame it as a characteristics of the vps is similar to a dedicated server.

However, the disk space and bandwidth is limited when compared to a dedicated server.

With a VPS your file system is not accessible or viewable by any other owner of VPS, unlike a shared environment where anyone with shell access can browse through your files.VPS ensures full privacy and security.

Thumbs up

Major advantage of VPS is it's low price. You can get a slice of a server at a fraction of dedicated server's price. If you don't need a full dedicated server, then a VPS is a good option for you.

By using VPS you can get built in incremental backups on top of a world class RAID 5 array to ensure data integrity.

That is real great to hear. We always have a fear of the stability of the vps. My suggestion, check out Dedicated Hosting packages, only if you have budget.... :D

You can install or upgrade your own programs whenever you want. For example, in shared hosting it will take very long (maybe never) for the web host to upgrade a new version of PHP or MySQL. They might not install a module for Apache that you want because it might affect other users, or can be a security issue. With VPS you get none of this even if you are sharing servers because a VPS is not just a user with a separate directory. Its a totally separate operating system sharing only the hardware on the physical server with teh other VPS.
