Default Linxus, Windows, and VPS

I am trying to get a feel for pros and cons of VPS Hosting. The last time I thought about this was awhile ago. With the new changes in the industry, how is a Linxus VPS compared to a Windows VPS.

Hi,

Comparing both VPS with each other would be difficult, it depends on how comfortable you are with the respective O.S.
Secondly the contents that you would be hosting matters , on linux you would be able to php , html pages and mysql database , while on the other hand with windows , you get a wide variety of applications like asp, .net , my sql database , ms sql database etc etc thus consuming bit more resources compared to Linux server

Considering the things that you would be hosting , you can go either for Linux or Windows server,
We provide support for both the O.S

I think that Linus tends to be a cheaper option because it is not as resource intensive. Personally, I think trying to fully understand both is a waste of time because it would run you thin. However if you have a basic understanding then you have more options. It is a good idea to consider what you are hosting and work back from that.

i would suggest for windows vps because Windows VPS hosting is a great selection for small or medium sized businesses. This option has truly taken off in recent years and it is basically due to increases in the availability of three scarce resources – Bandwidth, Memory, and CPU. Now it is potential to split a dedicated server into three to five portions and still have each portion powerful enough to take care of all the requirements of a full fledged business. Windows VPS hosting is now the preferred way for businesses to have their own server.
