Default Is Burst Ram Available?

Are all of the packages with a fixed amount of RAM? Are you able to offer burst RAM for periods of particularly high traffic, on a site that normally doesn't need the higher amount?

Well, we have stopped providing Burstable RAM. It has been observed that each server using Burstable RAM during peak hours increasing the server load resulting in bad performance. Now, we use SLM RAM Management for VPS.

Hi,

SLM : Service Level Management is a set the parameters which allows administrators to configure and control the levels of service for Virtual Private Servers (VPS). SLM manages memory resources only it helps the Administrators to allocate exact amount of RAM to a VPS.

SLM simplify resource management by providing only one or two configuration parameters and start to show virtualized information about used and free RAM.

Default Burst RAM

I had never even heard of Burst Ram before I read this post, but it does not sound like I am missing much. Has Burst RAM been made obsolete, or does it have applications in other places?

Default Burst Ram

I would not pay attention to Burst ram when you are talking about web hosting, VPS especially. A lot of places use it just because it has been around, but it really does not do the job as well.
