Live Streaming on VPS Hosting Server?

Hello Friends, can any body tell me about how to do video live streaming on vps server?

You may find many posts on this forum where this has been already discussed.

It could be possible to stream videos on VPS, however, it is highly recommended to consider either of our Dedicated Server plans. The reason is that video hosting on VPS might affect the performance of node.

If you are on VPS, I would suggest you to get Ubuntu or Linux operating system, and install VLC. It can stream all that it can play, so I would just stream an flash video, feed it to some flash video player on the website. Pretty much simple, easy, open source, and anyone with a basic flash enabled web browser can watch it.

Basically, if you consider a VPS hosting for your live streaming, you might have to share your resources such as bandwidth and CPU. If you choose a dedicated server you will have a better streaming quality and dedicated server tends to offer you a high-speed network connectivity and capacity to handle high volume traffic. However, if your streaming webiste is about to launch and will take some time to receive high traffic, then you may opt for a VPS and when you start realizing that the traffic is increasing and will needs more resouces simply upgrade it to a dedicated server hosting package.

I agree with Cannon. A friend of mine tried to UN-successfully stream live for I think 4 days before he finally gave in and said, "Ok, this isn't working." There are so many options you have with dedicated servers as well.
