Default What is VPS?

I'm not sure I understand what VPS is? Can someone shead some light on this for me please? I know I may be asking a lot of questions, but like I said in my introduction, I don't have a clue about any of this tech stuff. Thanx

Asking questions is not a problem, yes asking same questions in different categories does kinda frustrate an individual. Anyways, VPS is an abbreviation of Virtual Private Servers. A VPS is much similar to a Dedicated Server. You get dedicated resources alike a dedicated server. There are limited number of VPS accounts create on a physical server. The only difference between a dedicated server and VPS is the cost and the amount of resources allocation.

No problems at all in asking us questions A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a physical server sliced into multiple partitions that allow each partition to act as a virtual dedicated server. Each VPS runs its own operating system, has its own bandwidth & disk space, RAM (memory), IP address, etc, etc & can be separately rebooted. Virtual Private Servers give customers more freedom than shared hosting services & at a minor cost than a physical dedicated server.

Thanks Rocky, your explanation will help me decided easily whether I want a dedicated or VPS. I’ll be looking over the Bodhost service plans here in the near future and this will aid me in selecting the correct on the first time around. Again, thanks a lot.

You're welcome Please get in contact with our Sales Dept if you have any queries/doubts with the packages/prices, etc. They'd guide you in choosing the best package, based on your requirements/needs & through the entire signup process ;) Good luck !
