1) Before trying to install cPanel on your Linux VPS you should make sure that the installer is running or you will not be able to install cPanel on your VPS.
2) Installer will run only if you have installed the Yum package.
Note :
1. Yum package is an automated application for Linux which is responsible for updating and installing latest released versions of an application. It is known as the easiest way to keep the applications updated.
2. You will have to follow the same procedure to install cPanel on all the version of Linux operating system.
3) Now you will have to add the line "exclude=dev* udev*spam assassin* httpd* mod_ssl* perl* mysql* php* kernel*". This line should be added to /etc/yum.conf
4) Look for entries starting with "httpd" "mod_ssl" "mysql" "openldap" and "php" after running rpm -qa.
Important : If you install openldap at this time this may cause a lot of problems with Exim. So it is better to install it later.
Now you will have to use rpm -e to remove them.
5) You will be able to get a great benefit if you add sshd to ON_SERVICES in /vz/template/centos/4/config/install-post.
6) It is really important that you are logged in as root otherwise the below command won't work. The command you should use is :
# cd /home
# wget http:// layer1.cpanel.net/latest
Important : Downloading and Untaring latest installer package from www. cpanel.net is really important if you have Free BSD.
# sh latest

Okay, now I am thoroughly confused. My understanding was that cPanel was only available with Windows hosting and Plesk was used with Linux. In order to use cPanel, won't there be a licensing fee to be paid?
Dear Forum members,
I just found a great web hosting service host1plus, but still don‘t know are they good enough to change
my existing company bluehost (bluehost.com) ? Have you tried host1plus (host1plus.com) ?
Any comments about this web hosting service?
Another thing which I would like to know do you know any other web hosting companies apart of host1plus
which provides hosting in the Netherlands?
I apologies if this post have been posted to not the right section. Thank you in advance!
Well, about the link you mentioned, it is not great or simply it can't be good hosting provider. It is not to pull the legs, but any hosting company without 24/7 support is like a sea without water.
The company neither offers 24/7 support nor it has Live Chat Support.
About Web Hosting providers in Netherlands, best way is to Google ;)
