The new cPanel version 11.24.4 has been released.
In this case, we have noticed cPanel update servers take lot of time. TailWatch restarts processes before updating. Hecneforth, this stops updates to stop :
So you need stop TailWatch first with killall -TERM tailwatchd
Run killall upcp to make sure the failed update stops and then /scripts/upcp –force
- In the new cpanel Version, there are two new FTP configurations that are added which are Allow Anonymous Uploads and Allow Logins with Root Password
Make sure you set your MySQL root password before cPanel upgrade. If you do not set MySQL root password which will result in MySQL database corruption with InnoDB tables. Also, copy .cnf from root directorty to root/my.cnf, if any changes made to root directory. Also disable the feature of Automated process killers.
Henceforth, make sure you set the password before upgrading to new cPanel version.
