Default What is RSS?

I am a business owner and want to create an online presence. So, I don't have more idea about web hosting and Search engine. I have seen The RSS logo in so many websites. I want to know that what is it and what are the advantages of it?

RSS is mainly something which you can use to read a website's updates, instead of physically visiting it. It is similar to twitter, for example if you were following a design blog, except it was out long before Twitter days. Its useful, give it a try. Try FeedDemon or RSSOwl, good luck.

RSS (originally RDF Site Summary, often dubbed Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. A RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed",or "channel") includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship.
