The answer to the above question is

you can run Ubuntu without installing it on to your PC.
With the use of LiveCD you can do that.
Now what is liveCD?
It just like bootable CD but is more than that I will explain why in normal bootable CD's we get an option only for direct installation of OS to our hard drive but in liveCD we get an additional option called "Try Ubuntu without any change to your computer"after selecting the option you will get a desktop of ubundu which is referred as liveCD session.
That's it you are now using the ubundu!!!
One more cool thing about the Live CD is that you can surf the internet directly cause liveCD session has firefox in it.
After done with your session you can take out the CD.But if you have saved any thing on the desktop or in any folder it will not be there when you use it next time cause it gives live session and nothing is stored on the hard disk.
One thing should be noted that in the Alternate Cd as well as in the server edition of ubundu there is no such option of "Try Ubuntu without any change to your computer" cause it don't have desktop.
