Domain parking is a simple practice that allows you to purchase a domain name and create a “coming soon” or any other text page that users see when they access your site. Although not needed, it informs users that a site will be here soon and they should check back. If a domain is not parked, the website will simply be inaccessible to everyone. Luckily, most domain registrars provide this feature as a default.

Domain parking is the internet domain name which cannot be used for the services like e-mail or you cannot place any content on that domain. It will be only redirecting to that domain on which you have parked but the URL bar will still show the park domain's name.

You can also use the domain parking for protection against Cybersquatting(using the domain name for bad intention for making gain from the some one else trademark).
Another definition of parking a domain can be a "place holder" for the original domain or any other domain on which you are parking it.

Both of you done a real nice job here, because now baseball umpires, nuclear scientists, and even dumb business executives can also understand what is a domain parking.

Anyway I am very disappointed for myself, as I don't understand why do i always get in on forum discussion when the good posts are either ending or gone.......
