I agree with you But, you should try alternative Linux softwares as substitutes to popular softwares that are designed to run on Windows. For example, OpenOffice- an open source office software full of features like Writer (similar to MS Word), Calc (MS Excel), Impress (MS PowerPoint), Base (MS Access) and more. There are thousands of other such great quality alternatives you can opt for instead of Windows based software.
