To change or reset an existing FTP account's password:

1.Login to your cpanel.
2.Go to option FILES, there you will find FTP Accounts.
3.Click on FTP Accounts
4.Scroll down you will see Account Management
5.Under Account Management on the right hand side of the FTP account created you find various functions like Delete, Edit Quota, Change Password and Configure FTP Client
6.Click the Change Password icon corresponding to the FTP account whose password you wish to change.
7.On the following page, enter the new password or you can also enter the old password if you want to have the same password for the FTP account in the New Password field.
You should use a secure password with your FTP accounts. A secure password does not contain any dictionary words and should be comprised of letters, numbers, and special characters.
If you would like cPanel to generate a secure password for you, click the Password Generator button.
8.Confirm that you would like to use this password in the Password (again) field.
Click the Change button.
