Need help installing icecast

I am trying to install icecast on my Mac following the instructions posted on Bod Host. Post is called: 1364-how-install-icecast... I'm not allowed to post hyperlinks yet :(

I get as far as editing my .tcshrc file, then I run into a problem.

When I try to save the .tcshrc file with the required lines, I get the following error:

[ Error writing .tcshrc: Too many levels of symbolic links ]

Any advice how to move forward is appreciated.
