Wordpress Plug-ins

I heard someone say that Wordpress plug-ins are like iPhone apps. I am new to Wordpress, so I was wondering if you guys could recommend some of your tried and true plug-ins that increased the efficiency of your blog or website.

I have been using Wordpress for quite awhile but am new to iPhone. :D Wordpress has many useful plug-ins like Akismet (to filter spams), SEO All in One, also All in One Adsense and YPN. They are great plug-ins and I know what I am talking about as I use all the three.

There are many Wordpress plugins which will actually help you to increase the value and traffic of your Wordpress site or blog, however, it is actually incorrect to compare Wordpress plugins with IPhone applications as they are both different ;)

Well Wordpress Plugins are basically created for a Wordpress Blog and the applications made for Iphone will only work on Iphone however there is an IPhone Plugin for Wordpress which will allow your users to view your Wordpress blog on their IPhone. You just need to install the IPhone plugin to your Wordpress blog and once you activate the plugin, it will detect the browser agents and if it is an IPhone it will load a simple theme, so that it can load faster on it. ;)

They are quite addicting, like the iPhone app's thats for sure (I can not stop playing a game called Angry Birds), but plugin wise I have only been using a few since I need to redo my blog pretty soon.
