Do a basic install with fantastico and mess about with it.
The osCommerce people have their own site full of modifications and syles you can apply.
Once the core files are in place you can change the way they look to match your site.

Default shopping cart

I use oscommerce and think it is one of the easiest ones to set up. You should find it in the fantastico section.

Their forum is very helpful if you come a cropper at any stage.

Hope you find what you're looking for.

oscommerce is pretty nice in opensource with large community, I suggest you should make it little more SE friendly by implementing some modification of the basic cart.

oscommerce is bang on, and free, no advertising.

like i say, i had a headache setting it up, all the database jiggery pokery, never ever done anything like it before, but once i got it up, so to speak, everythings fine.

hopefully, bodhost can some how implement a 1 click install, as this would make it so much easier.

its definatly worth having a good look through there forums when you get stuck, as you find an answer to every question you come across.
