Default Programming resources

Hi

As I am PHP developer and I am looking for the resources to give my knowledge a perfect background on every aspect in programming. Usually I prefer official web site of PHP to get the latest updates, however, can anyone recommend few more resources that helps me to gain more knowledge.

I think official web site of PHP is well enough to get updates for the functions documentation. Even though there are too many higher level stuff like development methodologies, frameworks and so forth. You can also read RSS through Google Reader.

If I wan to get the best resource for learning PHP, first I'll download PHP manual on my computer -it is the number resource according to my experience. When I need something more I 'll search it on Google and most of the time I get solution for my queries. Thus this my recommendation, use PHP manual + Google + RSS + Forums to get the rest right answers. IMO it really works.

You should also refer several programming books, because you'll find there a proper documentation on each query. As it is simple to read and you can keep that documentation anywhere with you so I'd suggest books instead of online tutorials. In addition, as learning process books contains lots sample projects and unsolved examples for more practical work.

I would like to use Local host test server to analyze my web scripts. I always use xampp and if I wan to learn something more I'd prefer official web site so whether it is related with PHP or ASP. On the other hand there are many online tutorials available on Google.
