Default Framework in Python?

Hi

As right now I've planned to start focusing on to learn Python ASAP. Actually I wan to start with framework in Python programming so that I can build few code with GUIs. In addition, I don't want to use Eclipse, because I have tried it for Java and honestly I don't like it. What I need to know has anyone tried NetBeans in Python or anything else?

I think you should be more focused on IDE instead of Frameworks. I would also like to use NetBeans, but it's written in Java so you have a good system and strong self control to use it.

I am currently using pydev eclipse in Python. In my opinion pydev is one of the best Python IDE available right now. NetBeans also looking a good alternative and if I am not mistaken they have been working of including Python integration.

According to my experience, there is no good editor which will allow you to create code with GUI. I have used both Eclipse and NetBeans, but had problem with utf8 chars.
