Default Why isn't this forum used?

On Saturday, my "fault-tolerant," "100 percent uptime guaranteed" cloud server was down for 11 hours. Today, it's been down for several hours again. There has been nothing posted here, so when my customers call, I can't tell them anything, and it makes me look like an idiot.

Would it be that difficult to post updates here every so often so we know what to tell our clients?

Hello Richard,

The problem turned out to be caused by a hardware problem with Remote storage device.

Please reply back to the support request, if you need further assistance.

Thank you for the explanation of the cause of the problem.

My question, however, related to the lack of communication during both outages. When I promise my clients 100 percent uptime and they don't get it, they call me wanting to know why. When no information is forthcoming, it makes me look like an idiot to them.

I don't expect technicians and admins to waste their time engaging in long discussions with every hosting customer who sends a ticket. I'd rather they fix the problem. But an occasional update on the forum would help us to provide accurate information to our clients, while leaving you free to do your work. That's not an unreasonable request.

Again, thank you for your hard work getting things up and running again.

-Richard
