Windows Node Migration

Dear Valued Customer,

You currently have a windows VPS with us which is hosted on our hardware node situated in our Data Center in Montreal. This node is called BHW5 and is one of the newer windows hardware nodes that we had commissioned into service. However since BHW5 has been live, we have only got complaints from you and other customers about the deficient level of performance and output you are getting from your individual VPS.These complaints have ranged from slow processing speeds, average to low response times, network latency, high resource usage etc.

This prompted us to go in for a full -fledged follow up on the node. We decided to start investigating right from the setup stage to the delivery of the node and also the process of VPS' being created. During the course of the investigations, a few disturbing facts came to light.
(a) The node's hardware being faulty. It did have 16GB RAM, but the hard-drives were not robust enough. The rpm speed which was promised was not being realised.
(b) The Virtuozzo Management Panel was an older version, to be precise it was Virtuozzo 3.x.
(c) The OS template did not have the latest patches for VPS creation.

After going through the network charts and the feeds we got, we also could infer that the actual speed which we got was not a 10Gbit supply. There were problems even with the main inlet. Considering these problems, faults and errors, we decided to move ahead of the situation in hand. We could not allow you - our customer, to suffer anymore.

The Improvements:-
I. Hardware:- Bodhost has now procured a brand new hardware node in our primary Data Center located in Chicago. The hardware node is being custom-built keeping in mind our specific requirements. The node chassis is a very sturdy body with additional slots in it for further expansion if needed. The node will be built with 8 processors, all of which would be functional together at all times, the hard-drives are all SATA-II, which are high RPM drives. This ensures high processing / computing speeds everytime you send a process request. The network connection is a robust 2x10Gbit (duplex) connection to the node, which translates into 10Mbps (minimum) speed for each individual VPS.

2. Software:- The software upgradations and improvements include implementation of Virtuozzo 4.x - for overall node management, Plesk 8.3.x as the control panel for managing individual VPS', Windows 2003 with Service Pack II and the latest OS template for each vps which will be created. As Bodhost customers, you should and will get the best and latest versions of all softwares coupled with good technical support and round the clock customer service.
