Default MySQL and Microsoft database

Is there a way to convert between the two types of databases? I'm not really using this in practice, its just a question out of curiosity. I know that the structures of the databases are probably very different but it should be possible with a bit of work.

There are various 3rd party tools available out there, most of them are free. You can Google a bit and get some more information on this
