Default Expensive software?

I've seen several expensive software titles that claim that they make MySQL development easier and more reliable.

Has anyone had any experience with using such tools? I've only created databases from scratch using Notepad and haven't really toyed around much with those expensive titles as usually the trials are rather large and I honestly doubt that they're as good as the merchant selling it claims.

No need to go with any of such expensive softwares... MySQL Administrator, SQLyog & SQL-Front are one of the best tools I've ever used for governing the MySQL databases... these tools are free & provide exactly what's needed..

I would recommend using SQLyog, pretty easy with a neat interface.

I just checked out their official website and it does look like it's worth a try.

Thanks for the info, I probably just saved a good amount of money as I was thinking about giving one of those expensive programs a try. Although eventually I might upgrade to them if there's a need to as it's always good to have customer support which often does not come with free software.

Well, I don't think buying an expensive application for managing MYSQL databases is a good decision. Also, as you have other applications to manage MYSQL databases which are free and are used by many of the MYSQL users, you shouldn't go for such expensive applications. phpmyadmin, MYSQL yog are much preferred and you should try these applications for managing MYSQL databases.

Do share your experience! If you will upgrade and the performance is good, even someone else will get a help and can opt for that software.

Yes, everyone out here would like to know your experience with the paid application for managing MySQL databases and this is due to the fact that most of them haven't used a paid application for managing MySQL databases as there are several applications available for free. Do share your experience with us and hope that your experience helps us to know more about it.

I haven't used Mysql yog yet, but I heard that it used to be free earlier, only trial version is free now. Maybe I would give it a try since I don't know how to manage my own MYSQL database.
