It is possible to delete a MySQL database through cPanel control panel. Follow the steps given below to delete a MySQL database :

Once you log in into the cPanel control panel you will see a table which contains the following information,

Database - This entry will be the name of the database.

Size - This will show the size of the database

Users - This will show the users in the database.

Actions - You will have one choice,

Delete Database - Click on this to delete a database.

Find the database you want to delete in the “Database” column once you find the database.

In the “Actions” column, click delete database.

You will see the following statement :

“Are you sure you wish to permanently remove the DATABASE_NAME?”

Click "Yes".

Following statements will appear :

“Deleted the database DATABASE_NAME.”

“Database “DATABASE” dropped.”

Yes, it is definitely possible to delete a MySQL user through cPanel control panel and you can follow the steps given below to do so :

1) Once the page loads you will see a table with the following information;

Database - This will be the name of the database you have created.

Size - This will show the Size of the database.

Users - This entry will show you the users in the database.

Actions - You will have one single choice:

Delete Database - You can delete a database by clicking this link.

Find the database you want to delete in the “Database” column once you see the table.

Now from the “Username” column, find the name of the user you want to delete.

In a circle icon, click on X.

You will see the following statement :

“Are you sure you wish to remove USERNAME User from the database DATABASE?”

6) Now click "Yes" and you are done.

Make sure that you actually need to delete the database, as to resolve some problems you could just clear some tables in the database via phpMyAdmin. So let's say you have Wordpress installed onto it, but no longer want to use that site, rather than deleting the database you can just drop all the tables and it will make the database "clean" again. You can now use that database to either install another script or install a fresh copy of Wordpress for instance.

Yes, I definitely agree to you Lezlo. It is not necessary to delete the database as you can drop all the tables and the database will be clean again. You can use this database for some other purpose which will definitely reduce your work as you do not have to create a database again.

Thank you for your quick replies. This information has certainly helped me and specially the information that it is not necessary to delete MySQL database as I can clean it by dropping/clearing the tables and use it again is really helpful. Also, I have got some knowledge from these posts which will really help me in future.
