I am afraid I will have to retract some of my previous praise. While bodhost still do have fantastic support and I can not fault them on this part of their operations, the actual service detioriated badly and as a result I have had to request my account get closed.

Whether or not this is just bad luck on the choice of hardware node my VPS instances were on or if it is a problem with other customers I am unsure, but as I was using bodhost to host applications for paying clients I can not afford the instability.

To all at bodhost: best of luck with future clients, I hope that in my case it was simple bad luck but can not waste more time and/or money on finding out if the service quality would have improved long term.

To all other potential bodhost customers: Please do not take my above as any kind of "warning". VPS providers in general often have issues where some servers fail and others are rock solid (I don't know why but virtual servers seem to just plain suck at times). My experience was plain bad luck and I will be from this point on only using dedicated physical servers, for which bodhost's prices are out of budget at present.

We definitely understand your situation. To be honest, we did face few hardware issues on our VPS Server node. However, we would like to inform all clients that our tests on all nodes have been successfully completed.

The problem with the VPS was stability - I was seeing constant reboots by the root user of the host OS and could no longer afford to gamble with the uptime. As to my requirements for a dedicated server, if you are able to beat or closely match in price my current dedicated rovider I would be very interested

I understand that my issues were most likely plain bad luck but I am unable to continue taking the risk and have decided to not purchase VPS instances from any supplier. My only real criticism of bodhost that would remain is that I was not given any form of notification before these persistent reboots. Other than that, I can understand the issues were not entirely your company's fault and still do believe you have great customer services.

At the time being I am afraid I will have to move forward with cancelling the account. This is not an issue of price but an issue of stability, to proceed I would need a very solid SLA and a guarantee that any downtime for patch installations would be pre-notified.

Thankyou for the offer anyway, as said I can not fault you on customer service.

As we mentioned earlier, the node that you were setup on did have some issues which were solved eventually and we have also replaced the main hardware components. However, on your request, we can migrate you on another high-configuration VPS Server node and i am sure you will experience the performance and speed we always speak about.

Even better, having spoke to Ryan on live chat I am now confident that your dedicated package may in fact be better value then I at first thought due to it being managed. I now intend to proceed with shutting down the VPS instances but then meeting with my staff and users to decide whether to hire a dedicated server from bodhost.
