Default How to reissue SSL certificate?

Hi

I've a dedicated SSL certificate and if suppose I am going to change my IP address and reinstalled my OS as well, does it goes with all certificates? Fire1

Well It depends on the company. Most SSL issuers will re-issue the certificate if required. If you are using Windows, you can usually mark the certificate exportable when you install it and then you can easily import or export it to another server.

Hi

For Linux, when you purchase SSL certificate, you should save the CSR, key and CRT somewhere safe. And when you are going to reinstall on a different server, it'll never cause any problem, as long as it is the same type. You can install SSL certificate like a normal. However, you need to ensure it's only installed on one IP. Actually SSL certificate is not bound to an IP until installed, it is domain based. Thanx
