FTP uploading/downloading is slow

Hi!
My FTP uploading/downloading is very slow. Now what can I do for it?

Hi!
Normally such problem indicate connectivity problems and we recommend the following:

1. Try uploading / downloading your files later when there is less traffic;
2. Stop all your other downloads / uploads;
3. Contact your local Internet service provider for possible network problems.

The above points are correct and should be tried first , but if you are still facing the issue, then you can have a check on your FTP client, if there is any limit set for download, or whether you can alter it ?

Also if you are downloading multiple files at a time, the bandwidth is shared making the download / upload slow.

they type of connection also plays an important role, if you have Broadband connection, then you can download and upload at a equal proportion, but if in case you have diffrent connection , then download and upload speed are inversely proportional
