Default Hardware Virtualization Platform

I'm curious as to what this is. I was looking at the Hyper-V information, and saw the term. I'm unfamiliar with it-what does it mean to the customer?

Hi Frankie

VPS means that you are offered a share on a server, with Root access (which is not suppled with normal hosting or reseller accounts)

You are still bound by resource limits, however VPS allow customers to access services that are similar to a dedicated server, without the cost.

Hyper-V is the an offering from Microsoft where you can split your Windows Server account into multiple virtual servers from the one computer.

If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

Hyper-V comes with Windows Server 2008 Operating System. It has many additional features. It offers users their own dedicated operating system . It is completely isolated from other virtual machines on the same physical server. As a result, Hyper-V virtualization platform is better many other platforms.

Yes I know what a VPS server is, and that Hyper_V is the Microsoft offering. It is simply hardware virtualization platform that I am unfamiliar with, exactly what that offers to the client.
