Control Panel for Windows Mirrored Hosting - Dedicated Server Hosting | VPS Hosting

Hi, I'm new to hosting and I understand there are offerings of different control panels software.

Can you tell me if I don't pay for another extra, is there a basic CP that comes with the mirrored Windows dedicated hosting?

What am I missing if I don't upgrade the Plesk?

I would very much need to be able to:
1) View traffic Stats
2) Remote reboot

Can the basic CP (if it comes with one for free) do the above things?

Without the control panel you will miss on the server management completely. There is no other way that you can view the traffic stats on your server without a control panel and the reboot can be done by contacting the support department at anytime.IN short without the control panel you will be totally dependent on the technical support for all the assistance require to manage the servers. Hence it is always suggested to go for a control panel to get the total control of your server at your finger tips.

Here is what i suggest :

Opt for Plesk 1 Domain license which is completely Free of charge along with windows dedicated server hosting plan. Also, you will not miss the following features :

1) View traffic Stats and WebStats
2) Remote Reboot

However, you will not be able to manage more than one domain from the Plesk control panel with this Free Option.

Out of curiosity, if I were to do this, I would definitely be having several domains. Is it so much per domain for the license or does the pricing go by a certain number for this price, greater number for the next amount, etc?

Plesk basically has the following domain option:

- Plesk 10 Domains
- Plesk 30 Domains
- Plesk 100 Domains
- Plesk 300 Domains
- Plesk Unlimited Domains

Prices increase with more no. of licenses. If you need to host more number of domains, you will definitely require licenses to be installed on the dedicated servers.

Yes , I agree. The control panel proves to be very useful in managing the hosting account. Apart from showing the stats and an ability to reboot remotely, it offers many other usable features. You can find lot of material over the Internet that can best explain you the benefits of having a control panel.
