What is not allowed on the servers?

I read over the terms of service but I wanted some clarification as to what is not allowed on the different types of packages.

Are there any things that are not allowed on a VPS but would be allowed on the Dedicated server?

Hello,

Thanks for posting in our forum.

Following are not allowed to be hosted on either of the server hosting packages :

1) Warez / Warez Linking
2) Illegal Child Porn Content ( NO Child Porn )
3) Transmission, storage, or presentation of any information, data or material in violation of any United States law is prohibited.

Other than the above, you are allowed to host any files / databases on the servers without any issues.

As per Shane's reply, I think BODHost only allows legal content on the servers and I think this is very good.

I understand about illegal things not being allowed, but I was wondering if there were some legal types of content that wouldn't be allowed. For example, some hosts don't allow adult content, even if it is all being done in legal matter.

So, anything goes as long as it is legal?

Yes, anything that is legal is supported on our servers.

You have shared servers also right? Do they allow for shell access or only the dedi's & VPS? I know some places are a little picky with that, but straight shell only into "your account" should be okay....I think.

We did have shared servers earlier. However, we now only provide vps's and dedicated servers which allow full Shell access over the hosting package.

BODHost believes that client should have no restrictions on the hosting packages and install custom applications on them.
