Default Shared SSL

Is shared ssl any good? It works without the domain name right ?

Shared ssl is no good really. I mean why would sumone want to access their secure website without their domain name... a dedicated ssl is must if you need to secure your website.

Shared SSL generally works with the server IP something like: https:// serveriphere /~accountuser/

If you are behind getting a ssl for your site then you will need dedicated ip. Server ip in the url makes no sense to me as well.

A dedicated SSL certificate is always recommended as a Shared SSL certificate does not give your website's URL a professional look which is definitely a negative point. Also, a professional look is very necessary for an E-commerce website and hence one should always choose a dedicated SSL certificate.
