Default Do I need a shopping cart to do this?

Hi I want to sell two or three products online and I am going to use a Joomla website. In the future I will add more items. But for now Im just going to have one category and 3 products. So, do I need a cart system?

You can either have a cart system, which is much easier to manage or directly have "buy/purchase" button on your website. Later, as you say, you are planning to add more products so better have a shopping cart installed on your website now.

Personally I would rather shoot or a cart system to have now, rather than deal with it later when you have 100+ things you need to add into it all. Get familier with it now and buzz through it later.

If you have decided to run sites using some shopping carts and Joomla, I would recommend you to select a hosting plan or server with cPanel/WHM control panel (if Linux hosting plan or server is fine for you ;)) as cPanel/WHM control panel includes Fantastico which makes it easier for users to install shopping carts as well as Joomla and various other open source scripts with a few simple clicks

You must use a cart system. Also since you are going to use Joomla, there are some free carts available to use along with Joomla.

You can consider OS Commerce shopping cart for your online shopping cart, you get a lot of features with OS Commerce shopping cart and it also helps you to add / remove new products to your website with ease as compared to other shopping carts.

OS Commerce is fairly easy to navigate around but I know every now and then people need to trial/error it before they get the hang of it. And having just three products does not mean you have to have one, it just means that you should (esp. if you want to expand later).
