Default Way of Payment

What way of payment does BodHost support? I guess paying by credit card is a classic in all cases but do you support online payment services like PayPal or MoneyBookers?

Online payment systems are very convenient if you ask me. I'm always reluctant to use a credit card because it can be exploited more easily.

I agree about that. To me it seems that credit cards are much more susceptible to frauds than online payment systems like PayPal, MoneyBookers, AlertPay...

I'm not very familiar with moneybookers-- is it like paypal? I've never heard of it before, although paypal is pretty well known everywhere, I think.

You can give Moneybookers a chance because they are very reliable, much like PayPal. There are a few minor differences between them. Both offer payment accounts as well as merchant.

Bodhost supports payments through Paypal, Moneybookers and 2Checkout for online Credit/Debit card transactions. Payment through Wire/Bank transfer is also accepted by Bodhost.com as well as Bodhost.co.uk.

It is nice to see that some online payment systems besides PayPal are supported. Moneybookers and 2Checkout sound fine to me! I think some companies think that if they offer PayPal their work is done and all people covered.

Yes.. After having to deal with many customer issues with Paypal, I advise to avoid them at all costs.

Further tip. If paying for something via paypal (usually a eBay transaction) always pay with your credit card and NOT your linked bank account. Reason?

When you pay by credit card Visa/Mastercard/Etc have a chargeback policy in place. You dont receive your goods, not as described etc you contact your bank and go through the process.

Pay with your linked bank account? NO PROTECTION! No coverage if your package/purchase doesn't arrive/not as described etc.

Also i've noticed many times if your paying for something that charged under a different currency to your home state, check the international transfer rate offered by your bank/credit card and you'll notice 9 times out of 10 that its cheaper to use your card company to calculate the currency conversion.

Check google for "paypal problems" for further reading :-)

I've used Moneybrookers to pay my dedicated server bills with Bodhost and have never had an issue.

Have fun

Brendan

That seems silly to me unless you have a shady CC company. I use Visa and (insert lame sound) besides being everywhere I want it to be, it actually comes with some seriously nice protection. Visa knows me so well any weirdo charge they see pop up they call me about it right when the charge goes through.
