You do this right, I think? What happens when someone stumbles in and needs a plan custom made. They might need a little more or a little less than your current packages for some odd ball end. Also will this work for only shared or dedicated as well?

At the time of custom requirements such as bandwidth upgrades, RAM upgrades etc. A solution is prepared which is most feasible by the client or normally a client upgrades his hosting package to a higher configuration or server specifications.

With a dedicated server, it all depends upon the hardware chassis support. For e.g. we cannot add 4 drives to a basic P4 configuration as the hardware chassis does not support it. In this case, the only option is to upgrade to a dual core configuration.

Have you ever had someone that had this type of issue? How quick was the turn around to go ahead and setup another server with the proper config?

Well that would depend on the configurations the server requires. For example an extra Hard Disk usually takes say around 30-40 minutes.

However, if this is an upgrade to higher package this requires more time. We generally provide a dedicated server in 24hrs after the payment has been received. Although a custom server may require couple of hours extra for the setup. Since we also manage the migration part free of cost for our clients this adds up to the task, how much time this may take depends on the size of data the server has.

I would like to add that the websites face no downtime as we keep them running on both the servers until we get a conformation from the client to cancel the old server.

We keep getting requests for server upgrades and I can say the process has been absolutely smooth for all our clients.

I think that is the part I like best. No one wants to wait days on end for a server/site to propagate, and while I understand many times over its needed, I sometimes get impatient. Would this work for all types of plans here, like shared, dedicated and vps's?

And is vps's a word?

Yes this implies to all plans. We generally recommend clients to keep the old server running as well for couple of days. What happens here is, the domain keeps resolving from either of the servers, so there's minimum or almost no downtime.

Yes vps's is a word
