Question about VPS email

I am looking at getting a VPS pretty soon and from the research I have done you guys seem pretty good!

I want to check the following before I purchase.

One of my clients sends out 2 newsletters per week, to around 4000 recipients. They are all subscribed recipients and all have the option to opt out of receiving the newsletter.

I wanted to check that a VPS solution at Bodhost would be okay for this purpose? Their current hosting company, on a shared server, only allows them to send 200 emails per hour.

I would recommend you to go for a VPS (Virtual Private Server). As you have experienced the service and the support. Your client will be able to send 500 emails with the VPS hosting package. In case the number of emails to be sent increases you can always upgrade to a Dedicated server and this can be done at any point of time.

On our VPS Hosting package, you will be able to send 500 emails ( approx. ) per hour which means about 6000 emails within a span of 24 hours.

Yes IMO a VPS would be a good choice to start with. However fi your business is growing, I'll suggest you to go for a Dedicated server which will give you more sending options.
