That is about as good as it can possibly get, I mean with normal system maintenance, there will have to be some sort of downtime, but you guys have some impressive numbers.

Indeed, very impressive, some web hosts offer 100% power uptime even though the servers may not be dedicated. I presume on some kind of UPS system. Do you offer this with your hosting? Downtime for the majority of big companies out there costs them serious money, "every second counts" as they say

That's very nice, but a dedi price is a bit steep for my budget right now

Uptime basically refers to network uptime and not the services that run within the VPS. However, we can always run a monitoring system within a VPS which will check every service running within that VPS and make sure to start the service, if in case it's down.

The other option is to send the notification to the administrator or root user with more information on the service which is likely to be down.

Please let me know if that answers your question.
