I generally prefer using templates. Very easy to use and build a website with it.

That depends on the type of website you wish to have. But when talking about ease, templates are pretty good. Just a little customization and you're up with a professional looking website. For a custom website design from a professional web designer, you need to be ready to spend good $$$, unless you know doing that stuff yourself.

Templates are a better option if you wouldn't like to mess around with custom designs and some changes in the templates would be fine for you, however, if you are looking forward to have a different look for your site and you are ready to shell out some bugs for it, Custom designs would be a good option

Yes, I too think templates are a wise choice. Easy and quick way to get a website up and running.

If I can get away with the site myself I will but when I need something out of my league I am going to a pro. Why would I waste the idea of having an amazing reseller hosting site up when the design looks "newbie like".

Right. Having a professional web site is very important. Your web site becomes your business image so it is important to have a professional looking website even if it makes you spend those $$

Well templates are quick and easy. However sometimes they do not have a professional look required for the kind of business you are creating a website. So it is always preferred to designed a new template as per the business. ;)

Templates helps to complete the work really fast, if you are falling short of time and you need to make a website quick.

I generally use templates, but I've got quite a bit of experience with Photoshop, so in most cases the final product looks very different from the original template. I like having a unique look.

Photoshop is an excellent tool for creating attractive websites. You just need to know how to use its features. Although there are plenty of tutorials available specifically for this purpose.

I will prefer ready to use template, as it is easy way to make your blog something different from others. Custom design can give your blog a unique look, but it's time consuming process.

I don't understand who is talking about relationship marketing (you are exceptional case only). Next time when you try to comment something, at least read the topic carefully
